restasis patent?

I'm sure many users of Restasis suffer from the cost of it because there is no generic version. I have been doing some research to learn when the patent is up for Allergan, with no luck.

Does anyone have any information/knowledge of the conditions of the patent and when it will expire?

I believe Lumigen and Restasis are patent protected until 2014.

Plans are on for a Restasis 'X' with expected approval ~ 2012 -

but you could go to a compounding pharmacy and have them make you an eye drop with cyclosporine made with corn oil...I got the .02 percent. Insurance picked up the main part and it was only 25 dollars! I remember I paid 100.00 for restasis and that was after insurance...!
