    Anyone try Viva eyedrops?

A study published in the February 2009 issue of the American Journal of Ophthalmology reported that patients treated with Vitamin A drops—Viva artificial tears (retinyl palmitate 0.05% and polysorbate 80 1%, Vision Pharmaceuticals, Mitchell, S.D.) had significantly improved dry eye signs and symptoms similar to those in a second study group treated with Restasis.

It sounds interesting. I think I'll try these drops if my cyclosoporin with liposome drops don't help. First I want to try the liposome drops, because if you mix too many drops you don't know which drops brought the improvement:-)
Please don't hesitate to correct my English - I'm still learning

      Hi Rebecca,

How do these drops compare to Dakrina? The same, better worse?
      Why was Dakrina discountinued?

      Thanks

I found the same study a few weeks ago. I wonder why it didn't receive any attention...

Yeah, I have tried Viva eyedrops in the past. The previous posters are correct, it did not do anything special for me. I'm not exactly sure why they would compare an OTC drop against a prescription medication like Restasis because I believe they both do different things for the eyes.

With that said for people who can not tolerate Restasis it might be worth a try.
