Dear all, I'm confused.
I've just been reading Dr Latkany's book and the Restasis website. It seems the main feature of Restasis is that it helps patients produce more of their own tears.
From the website: "RESTASIS® is indicated to increase tear production in any patient whose tear production is presumed to be suppressed due to ocular inflammation associated with keratoconjunctivitis sicca"
So can it help people with evaporative dry eye (in my case caused by posterior blepharitis caused by ocular rosacea) i.e. people who don't have an acqueous deficiency?
Does it just generally suppress inflammation? Even if you don't need to produce any more tears.
