  • Does Restasis create xtra dryness

    HI,
I have started putting restasis in eyes. But seems to create more dryness and cant see much difference then putting normal lubricating gels.

Does Restasis show affect on a longer term? Is that restasis creates tears for a prolonged period of time.

I am a bit confused ,please let me know the suggestions.

restasis is not a lubricating tear, it shows effects in the long term. It probably irritates the eye more, but if you are lucky, in some time you should be better.

I noticed a difference after a couple of weeks and this has maintained over 6 months

        After putting Restasis

HI, I tried putting one drop in one of my eye to be on safer side.
But i think i got some vision problems after putting the drop.
Now my vision in that eye seems to be blurred than that in other eye.
The dryness doesnt seem to increase but is it so that it is a good sign ?
should i continue further ? or my vision will deteriorate further.

when i had put the drop ,i kept it for 2-3 hours without putting any lubricating on it.

Should i try with my other eye as well?

        Any suggesstions would be welcome

I've been on Restasis for a long while now.

It takes a good month of using it on a regular basis for it
to kick in, then to see a difference.

You can freely suppliment it with regular wetting drops also.
I noticed, that I use regular drops much less now.

When I'm out in public, I used to hate putting in drops
on shopping trips. Now I dont need them as much.
