  • Stronger restasis?

I believe Tacrolimus is a more potent drug with a similiar mechanism. I use tacrolimus and find it very good, better than cyclosporin.

Do you mean a higher concentration cyclosporine drug? There was one at Sirion (0.1% rather than 0.05%) that was acquired by Alcon but I haven't seen anything about it in quite awhile.

I keep a listing of pipeline drugs at this link, but I haven't made any major updates in awhile because there hasn't been much news the last few months.

Stronger doses of cyclosporine (.1, .2, .5%) can be shipped by a compounding pharm such as Leiters.

          Re: cyclosporine

Not only can you get any strength of cyclosporine that your doctor will prescribe, you can try it in all sorts of different vehicles (olive oil, canola oil, methyl cellulose and more).

You can also use your normal restasis and increase the dropping frequency. I use cyclosporine in liposme 4 times a day with great results.
(better results than 2 times a day)
