  • those of u on a higher dose of cyclosporine please read and help.thanks!!

i tried a higher dose of cyclosporine years ago but made
in corn oil... I talked to a pharmacist at Leiters who said that all compounded drugs like restasis need to be refrigerated...and only last a month.. i had used the one in corn oil for abut 6 months..anyway,, it didnt seem to help. it was .2 %

just curious if any of u have tried a higher dose made with a gum base like the pharmacist was talking about and if it helped your eyes??? not sure if i want to try again. right now just on restasis again!

Re: refrigeration of cyclosporine. I believe it depends on the base. I don’t think you need to refrigerate the oil based mixes, but if the carrier agent is methyl cellulose you do. At least that’s what my pharmacist told me.
