higher concentrations of Cyclosporine?

Hi Group; I also posted the following question to Dr. Latkany but I'd appreciate any additional feedback.

I have been on Restasis for just over four months now and it has helped my symptoms. Just wondering if anyone knows of any advantages/disadvantages to using the higher concentrations of cyclosporine (up to 2%) available at compounding pharmacies? Is anyone currently using a higher concentration?

I'm using cyclo at both 0.05 and 0.1 percent so slightly higher than the restasis dosage. I use the latter mainly in the allergic (besides severe DE all year) period of the year.
The main disadvantage is clearly tolerance, redness or irritation upon instillation.

Hi Kalinda,
Thanks for the reply. Do you find that your symptoms improve more using the .10 % cyclosporine? Are you able to tolerate this higher concentration o.k? I tolerate the .05 % quite well and am thinking of going higher if there is a pssibility of improving my symptoms more.
