Is this the same as azasite?

I found this on edrugnet, a website that you dont need a perscription, being have been getting restasis outside the UK for years.

Its the same ingredeant (Azithromycin) but another brand:

    Zithromax Eye Drops (generic) Zaha

Its the same strengh, 3 mls.

This is the reply i got back from them:

    Thank you for your email.

Please note that "AzaSite® (azithromycin ophthalmic solution) 1%" is by Inspire, it is not imported to our market. The Zithromax Eye Drops (generic) Zaha has the same composition but by different manufacturer.

Should you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us again.

    Best regards,

For anyone in the EU who may want to try azasite.

I have used azasite before from the states.

I might order this to see if it looks like azasite etc, since ive used it i should be able to tell.

but im abit wary? anyone think it is a good idea or not?

There is a loophole in the law so it is legal for them to sell drugs, and they can import the brands i,e they import restasis (brand) to western countires. My restasis i got came from thailand but it was restasis. I imagine it is illigal for them to sell it if it isnt the right ingredeant in the brand?

Maybe what makes AzaSite different is its DuraSite vehicle. It's what makes AzaSite last for so long in the eyelid and thus making it effective.

I can get Azyter in my local drugstore with no prescription. But I don't know if my MGD is bacterial..I don't have red/itchy eyelids...I really really don't want to complicate things even more.

But if you have already tried AzaSite and you got no bad reaction to it, I don't think it would be too risky to try another brand.
