Two weeks ago I was seen by an opthamologist who specializes in Sjogren's disease and dry eye in Toronto. While there, I asked him his opinion of scleral lenses and he introduced me to an optometrist called Barb Caffrey who does scleral lenses in Toronto. She was very pleasant and friendly. I was only able to speak to her briefly but she told me that the cost was $1500 and that the success rate for the lenses to work was 60%. I think I will see her in the future for a follow-up, although the rate of success does not sound especially stellar.
