Only after my 2nd fitting did I realize I have been getting fitted for mini-sclerals (14mm). Is anyone using 14mm with dry eye success?

You might want to ask your doctor whether these lenses are supported exclusively by the sclera or rest partly on the cornea?
On googling it I just read a page that said sclerals can in fact be as small as 14mm. That surprised me as I thought lenses that small would have to be corneal-scleral (resting partly on the cornea, partly on the sclera) but I guess I just didn't know it. Personally I had 14.5mm lenses for a few years for vision reasons. Eventually I developed problems and was not able to wear long term because they partly rested on the cornea which was dry. However, those lenses were not a scleral lens design, they were a reverse geometry design for post surgical use.Rebecca Petris
