  • can we put BSL in our eyes ourselves?

    For thse who uses the BSLs, i want to know whether its easy to put the BSL in ur eye urself? or everytime u need someone else to put in and out?
    I have been advised BSL.Hence im very eager to know,
    Really need to be a ROCK to take the pain!

    The only cases I know of where people have to get someone else to put them in are young children or people with severe disabilities. Otherwise pretty much all users put them in themselves.

    There's a special device (you can see a picture of it here) - most of us use this or something similar. With one hand you hold your lids wide open and with the other you use the 'plunger' to insert the lens. It's possible to insert them with just the tip of your finger, but a special plunger for removing them is usually necessary to take them out.

    Whether it's easy to put them in... usually it's easy eventually. Some people find it takes quite a bit of practice in the beginning to learn how.
