  • Fluid in scleral lenses

This may be a stupid question--but does the fluid on the inside of scleral lenses evaporate during the day. I am about to go up to Boston for them and wondered if my quick TBUT will mean that the fluid on the inside will evaporate quickly. Like I said probably dumb question but I am curious to know.
If life is a bowl of cherries, then why I am I stuck in the pits!

There's some fluid exchange that goes on and some of the fluid under the lens will dissipate (at least I assume so as I've got less of it at the end of the day than at the start). I do not believe however that this has anything at all to do with your TBUT. It's more of a matter of mechanics.
