Scleral Lenses??? Do they work??

Hi everyone,
I just read about scleral lenses. I have never heard of them before, but after doing some research online, it seems lots of people have tried or have them. They are a lense that completely covers your eye, and they're a whiter color over the whites of your eye, and transparent the center of your eye. I suffer from extreme redness and I was wondering if anyone has tried these and if it helps...
