      Different.

Aaron, Steven Lee is a really good guy. He is one of the ODs I was first in contact with when I was trying to find solutions many many years ago.

Thanks Rebecca, I think I may try and make it out to see him this fall. I'm not sure if he'll really be able to help me out though, basically I'm hoping that a pair of RGP's might be able to give me dry eye relief but think that sclerals might work better.

I also see that Dr. G has a new website www.globalrefractivesolutions.com

Can anybody comment on how much properly fit sclerals cost?

Aaron, most of these doctors have websites with an email address. I'm sure they would answer some basic questions and cost should be included in basic things. BUT, expect variance on price. Drs differ. We, as patients differ. I do think that if you got two or three ballpark figures, it might help you to figure out what you want to do. I still think you're jumping the gun. Sorry about that. I'm the "mom" nag role on this board. Lucy

            Hello Aaron,

No, my eyes feel less dry without my RGPs; but the RGPs feel much better than soft lenses.

They also give me fabulous clear vision and correct my HOAs - ever since LASIK in 4/2000 I have been unable to drive at night without RGPs. So until there is data that there is a surface ablation technique that reliably eliminates HOAs, I will stick with the RGPs.

            Good luck,

            Lynne

Stanza: I didn't understand your first post very well. I use saline drops (0.9% NaCl in distilled water). I don't use any other sort of drops. When the fog covers my view, I change the saline and then the view becomes clear.
Yani, I was asking if you have tried eye drops instead of saline, I can't use saline as they fog quickly, same with celluvisc, but with some other drops I'm now up to 4 hours.
