Hi - I have corneal pain in one eye, likely due to a form of neuropathy that I have. The pain was greatly reduced, by wearing an extra large bandage contact lens, as blinking is the major source of the pain. However, mild edema occurred, from extended wear. I was given several different types of regular sized soft high oxygen permeable lenses to wear, but the lens movement eventually irritated the eye. The larger bandage lens, fits underneath both eyelids, and that keeps the lens much more stable. Does any company make extra large high oxygen permeable soft contact lenses? I was evaluated for a PROSE lens, but I was told that given my reaction to a sample PROSE lens, that there was only a 50% chance that one could be fitted for me, that I could tolerate. Would wearing the extra large bandage lens only during the day, help to avoid the edema problem? Any other suggestions? Thanks very much. - Mark
