I still can't believe how limited the base curve range in contacts is. My right eye is a 9 base curve and isn't dry. It will tolerate any lens in a base curve of 9 (of which there are very few) but take it even down to 8.8 and the discomfort starts (which is why I can't wear the wonderful Oasys in both eyes). My left eye is more short-sighted and has a different curve - 8.8 is fine, 9 is too big. I think a lot of problems experienced by lenses wearers is down to wearing 'nearest-fit' contacts. That tight feeling? Too small a curve. The shifting about and falling out of the eye? Too big.

Custom made is the way to go.
