Looking for the best Oculoplastic Surgeons in the United States and Canada

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for the best oculoplastic surgeons in the United States and Canada to diagnose and fix my dry eyes. I suffer from lagophthalmos and possibly meibomian glad dysfunction (MGD). I'm not 100% certain about the MGD since some doctors have told me I have it, while others tell me I do not.

I have used Dr. James Merritt in Dallas and I was referred to him because I heard he was the best. I had entropian repair in my left eye and will soon have him do my right eye. Very nice, easy going doctor and takes very good care of his patients.

I used Dr. Steven ****** in Tampa, FL. He performed probing, which he invented, and then surgery. I am extremely happy with the results. His website is www.dr******.com.

The probing is for MGD. He is first class, and has patients from all over the world. You can read my story if you search for probing/surgery. I have several posts.

Dr. ****** is not an oculoplastic surgeon, he's a corneal specialist.

I would suggest DR. Robert B. Penne, Director of Ocular Plastic Surgery at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. Wills is one of the best eye hospitals in the country. He was terrific with my blephrospasms. Only one caution, please make sure you do all the pre qualifications with insurance. My records did not reach his office and I had take 2 days from work.
