Hi everyone,
I just thought I'd let you know that I'm getting surgery and LipiView done this Thursday. The surgical operation I'm undergoing is called "Bilateral lower lid elevation with sclera."
The idea behind what I'm doing is as follows:
- I'm getting the LipiView done so I have the scores on the condition of my meibomian glands prior to surgery.
- Then I'm getting the surgery done to re-position my eyelids in an effort to get my blinking fixed which will hopefully also fix my meibomian gland dysfunction.
- In the event that I am not cured after the surgery, I will get the LipiView done again several months later and see if the scores have changed.
I'm praying that this is the end of this traitorous disease for me and that this surgery will fix everything. I'll let you know how it goes once I'm able to use a computer again.
