Tarsorrhaphy

Has anyone had Tarsorrhaphy surgery done to help alleviate dry eye symptoms, or do you know of anyone who has had it? What were the results?

Well, this not an answer to your question.

My cornea doctor first recommended this procedure to address my exposure keratitis & lagophthalmos and referred me to Oculoplastic. Oculoplastic doctor suggested me to do gold weight implant - simpler and do not alter the look - instead of tarsorrhaphy as it is not cosmetically pleasing. But with implant I am not sure if the problem will get adequately addressed. I think few others on this board have done eyelid lengthening procedure to correct lagophthalmos which has not yet resolved the problem completely.
