There is a very telling study posted on the lasikcomplications.com patient forum. It basically states that a pre-lasik schirmer score of less than 20mm increased patients risk of post-lasik dry eye syndrome. It sure would have been nice to know what a schirmer test was before I agreed to sit in electric chair. Lasik dry eye syndrome is constant torture from a procedure we thought and were told would be 100% satisfactory and we would benefit immensely. I regret the decision everyday. DN

Ditto on all you said dnew85! Have to say I love the part where you call it the "electric chair". Sometimes I feel the same way.
Hang in there tho! A positive attitude does help a little. Take a walk and enjoy the beauty of nature if you can. Just enjoy the fact that you're still alive. It seriously does help.
