Amniotic Membrane - Success Stories?

Does anyone have any positive experiences of amniotic membrane transplant that they could share with me?

I am getting to the point of desperation now - the lack of mucous in my left eye is causing me severe burning pain and I can't see any other way of alleviating this other than going for AMT.

I would love to hear from anyone who has been through this procedure and felt it was reasonably successful.

I think a silence speaks volume. I have not had AMT but trying to locate previous patients also.

Helen have you tried scleral lens and what has been your experience?

It's not been complete silence - I have had a private message from someone telling me about their success story. So, it's not all bad news.

I don't think scerals would be appropriate for me as it's my conjunctiva that is the problem rather than my cornea.

Why don't you send me a private message regarding your problems and let's see if we have any experiences / suggestions to share.
