• this could cure dryeyes......

I suffered from severe dryeyes from 2002-2008. I tried almost everything which I could afford, from Restasis to various kind of eyedrops/gels from here in Germany and the U.S. It never really got better in the beginning.
After years of suffering, I began to take Symbioflor drops to get my gastro-intestinal-trac back to normal after taking anti-biotics very often.
I also took homeopathic medication.
Now I dont need to use drops or gels during the night or day.Only if i travel to some heated/air conditioned places.
It took a long time, but there are things that can and I'm sure about it, can cure dryeyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More information, please.

Did you use the Symbioflor I or the Pro Symbioflor? Did you ingest the drops or did you apply the drops to your eyes with the eye-bath technique (Eyes: Fill an eyebath with sterile, physiological solution of salt (obtainable from chemists). Put in 5 drops of Symbioflor I and bathe both eyes while opening and closing the lids. Apply twice daily, every 2 hours or hourly, according to the individual's needs.)?

What was your dosage and how long did you use the product before seeing improvements? Did you use this product under the supervision of a physician or homeopathic specialist?

What other homeopathic meds did you use and how do you know it was the Symbioflor and not the other meds that cured the dry eye?

For other folks: Here's a website I found that describes some of these products: http://www.complementary-medicine.com/probiotics.htm

Hi

thanks for your replies.

I took Restasis for 1 1/2 years. But I stopped beginning of 2008, as I was scared about long term sideaffects.

End of 2008 I began to take Pro-Symbioflor (Orally!!!) For about 6 weeks, then Symbioflor 1(6 weeks) and 2. Symbioflor(6weeks) drops contain the bacterias Escheria-Coli which are important for the mucous-membranes in the body. In my case I took too much anti-biotics which have destroyed these good bacterias! My homeopathic Doc. asked me to give this a try. And I also ate food that contained Omega-3 fat.

I also took Euphrasia D12 (Homeopathic) 3x a day.

It took about 6 months, until my eyes got better.

Thanks for sharing. It sounds like a novel treatment approach. Sorry for peppering you with questions earlier. I just like to have a lot of information before I make a judgment. This sounds like another viable option to add to the arsenal of dry eye treatments.

Hi

you`re welcome. I suffered with dryeyes, and there were these days, I felt like being caught in some horror movie, and I thought that this was it. Nothing would change.
Of course the causes for dry eyes are different. After trying so much meds this was the only thing that helped. It surely was not only the symbioflor alone, a combination of Omega-3 fat, healthy diet and homeopathic. And I also did "Own-blood-therapy" to boost the immunsystem.
"Own-blood-therapy" is an alternative way to train the immunsystem.
2 ml of your own blood is being taken and then mixed with a homeopathic medication and then you get it as an injection into the muscle. I've read an article which says, that it can be helpful by autoimmune diseases. But I don't have enough information about that.

thanks for reading.

Hi, Interesting. I as well have found that this disease is merely a malfunction in the immune system, thus the chronic low level inflammation. but it is caused by a nutritional deficiency..

nice post, I agree with your findings. It's the Immune System, it becomes hyper sensitive to normal everyday things like foods when it should not.

Hi rhad,

yes, it can be the cause. But I haven't got enough facts about it. I read an article, that most auto-immune diseases, which in all cases fight against thier own cells or whatever, can be trained, so that it learns to get back to it's normal system. I'm not sure if this "Own-blood-therapy" is capable of doing this.

I think it's wiser to try and get to the most "fundamental cause" of the sickness. When there is a way to find out. And do some thing agains that. Rather than trying to always cover it up superficially. Anyway, my english is not good enough to explain (I live in germany) And I'm not an expert either.

I really think that the immune system malfunctions because the body is deprived of "essential nutrients". I think if were gonna find a cure, we need not look "beyond the Mark" we look too far for cures. we look for cures in taking supplements and such that aren't usually found in the diet. What I'm talking about is "essential Nutrients" that because of some odd reason, are no longer properly absorbed, and we become deficient in them.

I think that when these essential nutrients that are needed for the immune system to function properly are deficient, the immune system become over sensitive or hypersensitive, and just malfunctions, causing chronic low level inflammation.
