  • Advice on a good regimen

    right now i'm using:
systane ultra lubrication eye drops (not very helpful, i would put it in, and a few seconds later my right eye would sting again)
systane night-time relief (which is an oinment that leaves your eyes blurry, but does seem to do the trick for nighttime relief)
fish oil capsules (2 a day)
Hot compress - once in a while if my dry eyes are really bothering me (usually just fill a sock with rice and microwave it) could i do it this way to save money ? or is rebecca's rice baggy that much better?

i'm thinking of purchasing tranquileyes goggles to help retain more moisture at night. would this be a good investment?

i'm also contemplating getting a humidifier; was about to purchase this one:
Air-O-Swiss 7144, but then i read the horrible reviews at amazon.com
    http://www.amazon.com/Air-O-Swiss-71...7906072&sr=8-5

anyone know a really good one?

Lastly, i hear so much about dr. L's gland expression oil, lid scrubs, azasite, dwelle, restasis, doxy... could someone educate me on these? and whether i should try them out or not?

i konw restasis needs a prescription... but since my dry eyes comes and goes. i think i will probably hold off on that for now.

    anyway.. thanks in advance!

    -kind regard,
    rue

I would double up on the fish oil, 4 capsules a day instead of 2. Take 2 at a time twice a day and make sure you take them with food so it helps absorption.
*I just would like to add the disclaimer that I do not suffer from dry eye myself; my service dog does. I want to stay up on treatments, and offer support to others!
