Went to my first dry eye support group meeting in Orange County yesterday. What a remarkable group of people. It really helps to reach out to others, to see they are living with this, it is okay to be afraid, and the strength that comes with dealing with this horrible disease. I only wish there were more groups like this. I am so fortunate to live in an area that has such a group. Not only are they there for moral support, they can give tips on what has helped them, and names of doctors that they've found that really care. Please, reach out to others. It is the only way to heal, physically and emotionally. Everyday I cry and I struggle, but I look at where I was 7 months ago and I am getting stronger. I will fight this, I will find a way to make it through each day. I want a cure, but if nothing else I want a way to resume a life. Best wishes to all of you who are suffering, you are not alone.
