  • f.lux helps reduce eye strain when using the computer

I discovered f.lux, a free program that changes the color temperature on your screen based on the time of the day. I HIGHLY recommend it, if you suffer from dry eye. I believe many hours on the computer contributed to my problem, since I have eye strain and fatigue. Yes, it might take a little getting used to (and you can adjust/customize it), but I can't imagine myself going back to a normal screen. It's just too bright, like looking at the sun! I even installed it on my iPhone 5.

I'm not sure if you can post links here, so Google "f.lux", and it's by "stereopsis" .

Yes you can post links (so long as they aren't self-promotional in any way and follow our guidelines). This one is http://stereopsis.com/flux/. I love f.lux. First came across it when another member recommended it a year or two ago and ever since I've wondered how I managed without it.

Thankyou. That is a very helpful little tool. Available for Mac and Linux too. Calise is another for linux fans.
