  • Improving ... blepharitis ...thank goodness

I will update "my story" here.
    http://www.dryeyezone.com/talk/showt...ritis-My-story

Finally, got in to see a Specialist. He squeezed my eyelids with a tweezer-like device and told me to apply hot compresses regularly. The 'squeezing' hurt a lot. He did not fill me with hope. I was pretty depressed after that visit.
Eventually, I spent a couple of hours researching bleph and found some helpful advice on youtube from clinics and doctors. I started using Dr. Ackerman's method for washing the eyelids. I also found a couple of videos recommending flaxseed oil, hot compresses and massage.
Since the 'squeezing', hot compresses/massage, eyelid wash technique, and a tablespoon of flaxseed oil daily(oral), my eyes have steadily improved over a period of 10 days.
    There is hope.

    Hi Wilsonn,

Glad to hear you have experienced some improvement in your condition. Can I ask what the cause of your MGD is and how long youve had it? Always good to hear about people's improvements.

      Thanks Jenn1,

I guess laser eye surgery could be blamed but the condition never appeared till 7 years after the surgery. It got really bad last summer.
Doctors do not take the condition seriously. Basically, told me "take two aspirins and go to bed" type of responses. I just have to accept the fact there is no cure and nothing they can do for me.
So ... I've got to do what I can.

Its a pretty depressing condition. I scare my grandkids. I dread going out. My wife tells me "I don't want to do anything". I'm tempted to wear sunglasses all the time. There really is little support for this malady.
