  • Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi,

This will be the last time I will post on this forum.
I have been esthatic a few times before with a minor improvement.
That just shows how severe my pain (all ducts are cauterized and workdisability for 10 years) was that even a tiny bit improvement made me do a post on this forum without waiting a bit and not knowing dat almost full relief is possible even if I never thougt this would happen.

I thougt before that grape seed, spirulina or glucosamine was the answer, but N0, this was only a improvement of 5% since i take the eye science dry eye formula.

    How did I discover this.
Well, I do take fish oil and flaxseed oil for years. Last year I also took a normal multivitamine with it and whauwwwwwwwww no paiin, how was this possible?
Then I skipped the flaxseed oil and yes, bad again. I tried alle the combinations but only the tree together worked.
Then I searched on the internet which of the vitamins were the ones who did the trick, because there are so many in a multivitmin.
It seemed to be B6, magnesium and possible the vitamin C

Then I searched a long time for a formula who had it al in one and I found it in america, dry eye forumula of eye science.
I know that you are not going to believe this but already the following day improvement just like I the first time i added a multivitamine.

This time I waited a few weeks to tell you this guys, I can only ask one thing of you , spread the word, because englisch is not my motherlanguage and i will not post this 10 thimes because I will finally start my life after more than 10 year in severe pain.
I cannot garantee this works for all types of dry eye, because mine are lasik induced dry eyes!

The advantage is that I only have to take 3 pills a day and it is not expensive since i don't have to buy all the seperatie bottles anymore. I spend thousand of euro the past 10 years, none with real benefit comparing to this.
If there are experts or doctors here maybe they can explain more how the succes of this can be explained.

I wish you all the best.
    Sabine from belgium.

Sabine, you've been here a long time and been through a lot. I'm always happy to hear of anybody improving enough to get excited over, and it's great to not have any reason to come back! But don't disappear altogether. Let us know once in awhile how you're doing. You know from your long experience, I'm sure, how important it is to hear hopeful words from others who have gotten better.

        I agree rebecca.

Come back and let us know how you are doing! it gives us ''still suffering'' ones hope.

Wierdly enough i just started this supplement regime my self. Vit C, B complex, GLA, NAC, Magnesuim. To add to the fish oil.

Would you recommend getting 'eye science' or just as seperate vitamins?

I hope that this continues to work for you because we all know how dry eye can 'flutuate', due to hormones or the immune system that we dont fully understand.

        Wish you luck.

          B6

Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is needed for proper absorption of magnesium, which is required in the maintanence of potassium levels in the cells. Both vitamin B6 and magnesium are needed in the bodyÕs production of prostaglandin E-1. B6 is also required for sugar metabolism, so refined foods containing sugar deplete this vitamin. Dietary intake of less than 2 mg/day of vitamin B6 is the fourth most significant food factor linked to low potassium in dry eye (see mineral section). If dietary intake is less than 4 mg/day, increasing high protein foods rich in vitamin B6 are suggested including raw walnuts, hazelnuts, spinach or rare grass-fed beef steak. Medium to well done proteins result in increased demand for vitamin B6. In 1978, Ned Paige first reported improvement of dry eye syndrome with high doses of vitamin B6 in many patients. Vitamin B6 together with vitamin C and essential fatty acids has been found to improve dry eye symptoms and tear production. In one study, tear production almost doubled in the first month among dry eye patients taking up to 50 mg/day of vitamin B6 together with EPO and vitamin C.

To dog 2012 : I understand you to be sceptical, so was I when I read other successtory's, it is to good to be true but honestly I do not lie, I have no intrest of promoting this since I live in Belgium and this firm who sells this is in America. I felt myself obligated to post this because only a severe dry eye sufferer knows this pain and knows that life quality is very low with this disease. (if i can call it like this) I lost everything with DES, my job, my life and ten years of enjoying my children because of the severe pain. I couldn't even give my second husband a child because of the severity of my des .

            To sazy,
I think it is better to take it in one formula together, because the ratio's of the fish oil in the eye formula are very good, which is also very important and don't forget the flaxseed oil. I do take some additional flaxseed oil although it is in the formula, but I have some capsules left in the cabinet. And just to be sure.
And if you take them separately it is maybe best to take them after each other if you understand .

I hope it doesn't get better anymore because my eyes are cauterized this means a smiley

              Hello
I read you post and I'm glad for your improving. I too have lasik induced dry eyes.
I searched a bit about excess of vitamin B and it seems that higher doses than 200 mg daily (200 mg being considered safe) might be a risk factor for developing peripheral neuropathy. The dry eye formula that you mentioned contains 10 mg of vitamin B6 and it saids that 10 mg represents 500% of the recommended daily value....
So what is the recommended value? 2 or 200 milligrams?

I'm afraid to supplement my vitamin B6 intake as I already have a higher value than normal at my blood test.

Sabine could you please clarify this issue?

              Thank you

              Cristina

                Christina,

I read on dutch websites dat you may not supplement more than 200 mg of B6, so 10 mg is not a problem.
B6 works together with magnesium, not separatly.
It's the combination of all the ingredients that does the trick.

                  Dear Sabine,

                  Sorry if this comes off the wrong way ..i meant that something else was involved in your improvement .no doubts you are sincere ..the reason i say it because this combination of ingredients is well known . Myself i use it all the time with no result. I am sure people react differently ..or secret in formula ? ..but definitely i am happy for your improvement. ...Do you like those blue coloring pills ?:}

Hi dog 2012 (funny name by the way)

Are you a man , because there can be a difference in treatment between man and women concerning dry eye perhaps?

And something else : people who develop severe dry eyes after lasik had a pre excisting dry eye condition sometimes (i could not wear contact lenses) but had no pain at all!!)
Maybe this formula aids that part of my problem? I don't know, i am not healed (des can not be cured) by any way my eyes will be cauterized for the rest of my life, but it is the quality who was still very bad and that has improved immensly now. And i do know the moment i stop this formula the pain returns.
Second, we have no dry eye specialists in belgium and i have never seen a specialist only eye doctors, so maybe I had mgd and it works very well for mgd (who is connected with dry eye anyway) because hot compresses gave me some relief. I trie to search for answers also.

If the pills don't work enough, add some liquid flax seed, that is the best. (or if you can't drink it, capsules)

All I want is to help people save a bit of money in their searching to supplements because I spent without doubt thausends of euro to this, if you are desperate, money doesn't count.

Yes, the pills are blue, does it matter if it helps? It is a nice colour

i spent a lot on vitamins myself but right now i got a good mix, vit a,d,c,b and omega 3. I think a is rather for vision. When looking at the ingredients in your pills, it has a really good mix of what we should all eat. I only lack magnesium and lutein and my omea 3 pills are kinda low on DHA but the rest is perfect. I just want to know if its a waste of time that i take vit A and D.

vitamin C has been proved on how much it helps dry eyes, it shuould open some eyes for you guys

According to the manufacturer website, there is 10mg Lactoferrin per 3 capsules.

Thanks Sabine, I am going to try this product and will report back. I have been taking MegaRed but it hasn't been doing much for me...
