10 yrs down the road

Hi, it's been a very long while since I last posted. I joined the board almost 10 yrs ago when I was diagnosed with lupus/sjogrens. My eyes and mouth seemingly went severely dry over night and it sent my whole life into a tail spin. It took a lot of work and a lot of help to center myself again but I eventually got there. About 6 years ago I lost most of my hearing to autoimmune as well. I will actually be getting a cochlear implant soon. That was another huge blow but after falling so fast and low with my eyes, I had the skills to cope and thrive despite my hearing loss. I am also very happy to say I will be getting married this coming May. I am very grateful to my family and fiance for supporting me in my journey and also very grateful this board existed/still exists. For the newbies out there, I remember how hard it is to adjust to significant changes in our eyes/bodies but after 10 yrs I am so grateful I fought/fighting my way through it all and know you all will do so as well
