I've suffered for about a decade with a terrible dry eye problem (while sleeping).
My eyelids would stick “shut” and I could feel the dry gritty-ness of my inner lids
resting against my corneas. It was actually an effort to open my eyes in the middle
of the night or in the morning upon awakening; usually one eye would stagger open
before the other.
Recently I began taking daily doses of Flaxseed oil (3,000 mg), CoQ-10 (300 mg) and
fish oil (usually 600 mg of Omega 3/fish oil), as part of my cholesterol control
routine. After 6 weeks of this change in my routine, I’m pleased to report that for
about a month now I’ve enjoyed a desperately needed improvement in my dry eye
condition. My eyelids no longer ’stick shut’ or feel gritty and I no longer dread
going to sleep at night.
I can only conclude that my supplement intake is responsible for this much needed
relief. Maybe I should be thankful for my cholesterol condition!
