  • Success! Blepharospasm diagnosis due to antipsychotics.

After 2 years of suffering, stopping contacts, using steroids, trying an array of supplements, and 3 months of Xiidra but still couldn't see. Finally we found out that at some point it was not only intense dry eye but also blepharospasm caused as a side effect of another medicine. Xiidra for dry eye and Botox for the blepharospasm = driving is now possible!

If your doctor says "Your eyes look fine" then be persistent and keep looking for solutions. There is hope!

Happy to hear this! Could you elaborate on what the blepharospasm symptoms felt like? My eyes feel kind of heavy sometimes and I always feel like I'm squinting even though it's not bright out. It makes it uncomfortable for my eyes to focus on things and read text.
