I have severe dry eye caused by graph versus host disease (GVHD) and it has been a nightmare for two years. Having tried everything I have been getting by by using serum drops every hour but they are expensive. The FDA approved Jakafi to treat chronic GVHD this past September and my oncologist prescribed it to me a month ago for my skin, which has had a lot of problems from GVHD.
The Jakafi has really helped my dry eye as well, which my eye doctor confirmed. I know it is a powerful drug and not for everyone but I thought I would share my experience in case anyone else it thinking of taking it.
