  • Have list of Drs. doing ****** probe

Rhein Medical, the distributors of the ****** probe, has provided me with a list of American and Canadian doctors who have purchased the tool.

For those interested, send me a private message with your email address and I can send you the list. I can not reply without an email address.

Please note, I am just a fellow dry eye sufferer and in no way endorse the product or the doctors. Pursue this treatment at your own discretion.

Have list of DRS, doing ****** probe

I suffer from MGD, and I have a severe dry eye.
Do you know whether in Italy or in Europe at least has started experimenting with the cannulas of Dr ******. Is there any ophthalmologist who in Europe is able to do the same surgery that makes Dr. ******? You have any information? Let me know, please.
You can send an email to: Ele.sardegna @ libero.it

          ****** probe in the UK

I contacted Rhein Medical to see if they had distributed the probe to anyone in the UK.

I was advised that they had only ever supplied once before and that was to a company in Edinburgh. Rhein had no knowledge of anyone in the UK performing the procedure.

By the way, if anyone wanted to buy some, I've been quoted a price!!

            ****** probe in the UK

On a routine follow up appointment this morning, I asked my consultant if he was aware of any discussions underway about the effectiveness of the ****** probe. (Rhein Medical had told me that one doctor in the UK had been supplied with this but of course they couldn't disclose who it was)

As the counsultant is a cornea specialist, he knew about this procedure. He had recently attended conferences in UK / Europe, where the probe was evaluated (in theory) by practitioners. It received negative responses by UK people - largely because of the potential damage to resistant glands that were already fragile and delicate.

My consultant sees it as interesting but still at the experimental stage. That's not to say that it will never be taken up but I think it could be some time yet.
