What is a scleral lens and do they come in a prescription?
Is a synergy contact lens suppose to help dryeye?

  • #2
Scleral lenses are very large gas permeable lenses that vault the cornea and hold fluid against the cornea to correct challenging optical problems and (in some cases) treat dry eye.

Yes, they can come in any prescription.

Synergeyes lenses are not made specifically for dry eye. We had one member with dry eye who reported good results with them. I've heard from many more with dry eye plus vision problems who got the lenses for vision problems but couldn't wear them due to dry eye. Like so many other things, it depends on the individual case.
