I was dismissed today by my latest optho. After plugs, cautery and 6 mos of restasis with minimum benefit, he tells me that there's nothing else he can do. My Schmirr(sp?) test results are 0. Going to Scheie will be a long and difficult day- My husband and I are older, this is a 3 hr trip one way, but I'm in dread fear of a repeat of last winter when I couldn't read, drive or watch TV. Has anyone here seen Dr. Massaro? Are there other meds available that would make this trip worth it?
