Right i Booked an appointment for Sara ward optometrist tomorrow

In going to ask her about the inner lid redness and capped meimobiam gland options , I will also mention about another optholomogist referral.

Also can Sara prescribe me drops like systane balance to help with lid friction as its mineral oil based and can she prescribe stuff like doxy?

    Thanks peeps..

Hyper, how did you get on with SW? Hopefully there will be specialist prescribing optometrists around soon to help us, but not yet. The problem is with prescription that you need to know lots about internal medicine first, so best have ongoing monitoring at the ophthalmology clinics, with prescription.

Appointment with SW was ok ! She said my eyes looked a lot better and the lashes looked clean and she said a few of my glands were capped which could be rectified with warm compresses in the shower now and then, Also she mentioned to do lid hygiene but not everyday? but i thought it had to be done everyday due to crusting on lower lid margins and blocked glands? Also she wasnt happy as she said couldnt do this appointment free on the NHS pear scheme as they only allow one appoinment free a year or something ..but in the end she didnt charge and said i could see her again free if it was important which was nice of her
