Hi,
I've scheduled an appointment in the morning with another ophthalmologist next week since the first one didn't seem to find anything.
I'm wondering if there are any other questions to ask besides
* Do my meibomian glands express oil freely enough? Is it blocked? Is the oil thick/consistent/discolored?
* Do I have blepharitis (posterior or anterior/mgd)?
* Am I aqueous tear-deficient?
The first ophthalmologist checked my eyes for pressure, dilated my pupils, looked at its surface, and flipped my lids. Is it possible that she missed something since she didn't squeeze my meibomian glands or anything? At the time I was concerned that I had a corneal ulcer coming back more so than dry eyes. I wanted to get a dry eye evaluation this time around but I'm wondering how does it work - should I put any preservative free lubricant drops in before going or would that interfere with my natural test results?
Also if anyone knows of any dry eye specialists in the bay area, please let me know. For San Francisco I see that there is Lillie Mosaddegh but unfortunately she has pretty poor reviews on Yelp. Other than that I know there's the UC Berkeley dry eye clinic.
Thanks!
