  • IPL in Western Europe

    Hi,

Does anybody know where you can have IPL done in Western Europe? (Preferably Benelux/France/Germany)
And when I say IPL, I mean treatment with an IPL device specifically designed to treat MGD like the E-Eye from France Medical.
It's just that I can't seem to find much info on this as it is a relatively new treatment.

Toyos and the gang he trains use the Dermamed Quadra Q4 machine. Perhaps find out if this machine is near you by contacting Dermamed Intl.

    Good luck.

Have you tried contacting the company that make the E-Eye device ? They are called E-SWIN. Here is their website http://www.e-swin.com/index.php/pro_...med/e-eye.html
It is in French which I don't speak.

Surely they can tell you who is using their machine. However, I believe another forum member, dominorose, may have tried to contact them and they were not so helpful. I know where you can have IPL with E-Eye here in Australia - the distributor here is very informative.

This Quadra device is used for all kinds of IPL applications... Any hospital could have it.

I'm only considering IPL if it is done by an experienced MGD-savvy ophtalmologist and with the necessary eye protection,
not some beauty specialist who wants to make some extra money while using a metal spoon as eye protection...

          Hi neilw,

Thanks for the suggestion. I have contacted them. I hope they will answer.
Do you have any experience with E-SWIN devices in Australia?

You've got to be kidding me. They have sold only 1 device in Europe? And to some shady doc no one's ever heard of?

I contacted E-SWIN by sending an e-mail to France Medical.

According to them, doctor Malbrel in Reims performs IPL with an E>Eye.

No mention of dr. Bury though.

That's really weird. Maybe I'm a crazy liar then?

                        Whatever, just wanted to help.

I never called you a liar dominorose. I know you want to help. But that's just what their e-mail said.

I just sent an e-mail back to ask about dr. Bury and they replied that he doesn't do it anymore.

As a Flemish Belgian, I had to learn it in school as a secondary language.
I can't say that I'm fluent in it though. And my medical french is almost nonexistent. =p
So when I went to dr. Baudouin in Paris, I took my girlfriend with me. She studies french on an academic level.
It was necessary. You really can't assume to be understood there if you speak English.
