  • Dr. Michael Mesaros (Midland, MI)

Dr. Mesaros was the fifth doctor I saw when I was having corneal erosions, and he correctly diagnosed me and got me to my first corneal specialist. After diagnosing me with recurrent corneal erosions, he told me to rest, use a patch, and put in antibiotic drops. Overnight, the erosions continued, but, before I called him the next morning, his nurse called me. I told her that I was waiting for the office to open, because I had had a terrible night. She said, "He must have been thinking of you all night, because he called here first thing in the morning and arranged for you to see a corneal specialist as soon as you can come in." Then, I was put on Muro drops and ointment, which improved things for me, and which continued to improve even more once I found this site.

Dr. Mesaros listens, is kind and generous with time and advice, and he is really interested in helping his patients.

We patients, of course, need to take charge of our conditions and do all of the best things that work for us; however, having a doctor who can name our problem and explain it clearly helps immensely!

    Dr. in Michigan!!

Liz, thanks for posting about Dr. Mesaros and your good experience. I'm from Michigan, and a few others on here are also from MI and we sort of keep good docs' names up our sleeves for possible needed future treatment.

      Correction

Sorry to bump this, but the thread is not giving me an "Edit" button for this post for some reason.

I was adding a blog entry and noticed that I had my doctor count wrong. Dr. Mesaros was my fourth and not my fifth doctor. The corneal specialist to whom he sent me was the fifth.
