Hi All,
I would like to recommend Dr. Paul Williams, O.D. in Tacoma, WA for any of you dry eye sufferers living in the Puget Sound region.
This is what I like about him:
Just a tip - a few days before my first visit I emailed him my "Eye Resume" giving him a history of my problem, current and past treatments and questions/concerns. He really appreciated this and it helped him prepare for our first appointment. He really did some research!
On our second visit, I sent him an updated list of symptoms, how I was doing with each treatment and all of my questions and concerns (thanks for the tip Rebecca!!
). It made our visit go really well AND he really, really appreciated it!! He addressed every single bulleted item on my list and the list was 1 1/2 pages long!! I walked away with every single question answered, improvement in my tear film and hope for the future.
He has encouraged me to do the same with future visits.

- He was able to diagnose specifically what is causing my dryness
- He can really explain tear film physiology and make it easy for the patient to understand the issues
- He thoroughly answers all of my questions
- He spends lots of time with me
- He addresses my concerns as valid concerns and doesn't blow them off
- He has provided a solid treatment plan
- He gives me hope!!

. I've got gpc, conjunctival staining and a little spk but most of all my eye hurts like the dickens. It took a week and a half of not being able to wear my left scleral (bearing in mind I need that lens for vision) to scare me into seeing a doctor. $170 worth of Rx's later, I hope relief is in store shortly.
