    Dry Eye Convention

I would love to go, but I have to have cervical spine surgery in January and will be recovering for four-to-six weeks. It would be great to meet all of you! Hopefully, down the road there will be more events scheduled. Have a wonderful time!!

      officially geeked

Okay, it's official...I'm really, REALLY looking forward to going to balmy Tampa in Feb. for our conference. I invited a close friend of mine and found out last night that she will for sure be coming with me. She has been with me through thick and thin for all of the usual 'best friend' kind of stuff (kids, birthdays, diets, backyard pools, girls' weekends, PTA etc.) for many years and she has been a tremendous support through all of my LASIK/dry eye stuff. She's my favorite 'normal' (no eye probs) support person. I just couldn't be happier (and it's quite fitting) that she will be there for the first DryEyeZone conference once again lending her support.

She's heard so much about dry eye over the years I should probably give her a break from 'eye talk' and schedule her for a massage. Right next to Lucy, LOL .

Top secret, for the time being. All I will say for the moment is that this is NOT going to be conventional convention fare consisting of random carefully selected speakers droning away at a microphone and making up for their lack of substance with impressive video clips.
When will the agenda for the dry eye conference be announced?

And are there plans, say, to do anything like produce audio cds of any experts that might speak, if this is planned, and make these available for purchase or download for those who could not afford the trip to Tampa?

          Deo volente, this weekend.

That, yes, as a minimum. Hoping to do better than that (live webcast?) if possible, but no promises on that one yet.

While recently perusing the menu of spa services, I went ahead and recommended to my husband (who will accompany me) that his personal spa agenda include a complete "back waxing". It took him one second to respond with, "Yeah, sure, while you enjoy your one-hour complete physical fitness assessment."

Touche. Don't we sound like loads of fun?

              Diana,

This sounds worth the price of the ticket alone.

It's going to be worth the price of my ticket to finally meet the flaky Princess Di. In addition, I'll get to meet the Prince, too, and the new baby prince Wm or princess Harriet. Can we watch the back waxing?

And I'll plan on labeling the CD, "Inappropriate for children or those with weak stomachs."

My husband is thrilled to be the topic of discussion tonight. When he married me, he knew he'd be made to suffer my sense of humor, so he puts up with me. You all (including the hubby) are very wise not to focus on my physical fitness assessment at present. I'm nine months pregnant. This means I am above the law and should be feared.

Almighty, the warning label is an excellent idea.
