hi! just wanted to introduce myself. i have been struggling with dry eye for at least 15 yrs. the odd thing is that it has only affected my left eye. i started with the lower drain sewn shut. a few years ago i had the upper drain cauterized shut. i was prescribed restasis without any improvement. it is still a daily struggle. i'm wondering if anyone else has experienced only 1 eye being affected? my doctor thought it was quite unusual. i hope to learn more from everyone else that has experienced this difficult syndrome.

Although I, personally, have not heard of anyone with only one eye affected, I have heard several people say (or write on here!) that one eye is significantly WORSE than the other.
I am one of those cases...my left eye is much worse than my right eye. I am seeing improvement with the regimen I am on now, but my left eye is still at least a month (maybe two) behind where my right eye is as far as improvement goes.
