Poll (of sorts): Just one-word answers, please!

For those of you who have significant corneal pain or other form of discomfort:

Can you please tell me in 1 word or very short phrase what your dominant pain sensation is?

If you have multiple symptoms, try to articulate the pain sensation that seems to be the most debilitating, that most interferes with your usual activities.

I changed it from sore to burning... burning is much better controlled now, but it's been my dominant symptom until recently...

The dominant sensation is burning. It is punctuated with moments of pinching (in the one spot where my erosions occur.)
