Azasite made my want to pull my eyes out of the socket. The pain was worse than anything I had experienced with dry eyes. I used it for 2 days the first time I tried it and then I was stupid enough to try it again when another doctor said it would be great for me. It was exactly the same.

      Azasite

I used Azasite every night at bedtime for 6 months before I noticed my dryness was extremely improved. It kills the staph bacteria that lives in impaired meibomian glands and further slows/ hardens their oils. I use it about 2 months on, 1 month off, and I probably always will if it keeps working. By the way, I only put in in my eyes when I'm going to close my eyes immediately and sleep a full night because it's oily and can be burny. I'm okay if I close my eyes right away. In the morning, there's always dry flakes around my eyes. I would never use it at any other time but bedtime.
I still have major issues with my eyes such as erosions on my RK scars, but I think the Azasite made a huge difference in my dryness.

Hi Diana -I was just prescribed Azasite and will be beginning it tonight (along with the rest of my routine). My opth had said that I could put a drop in each eye or rub a drop along lid margins...maybe a bit less burny that way? Then, after a few minutes it is Muro ointment time (which is fine for me.) I felt really happy when you said that it has helped you and hopefully, once I am into my new full regimen, things will start to improve for me as well. Always love hearing success stories!!! Do you ever just rub a drop along lid margins (where it obviously will still end up in your eyes) or do you just drop right into your eye?

Either way, thank you for that very encouraging review and my continued best wishes for your comfort and relief!!

        Thank you!..................Neve
