  • hello from a troubled girl

hello everyone, i am so lucky I found this forum for me to tell out my problems, everyone seems to be so friendly, helpful and warm

I am 21 this year, Asian, and I believe that I have short-sighted dry eyes. I have not consult an eye specialist, but I have definately sensitive eyes.

    1. My eyes fear light and my eyelids will close when staring at glare, not only this, it will close when objects are close to it. ( I have troubles wearing my contact lenses because my eyes will shut when my finger is approaching) Therefore, I do have have history of wearing contact lenses.

    2. However, I have tried on contact lenses once with the help of a optometrist, my eyes are perfectly fine wearing it, no irritation. But ever since then I could not wear one by myself because of my sensitive eyes.

Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong with my eyes? It is so so so sensitive. I have been wearing glasses for more than 8 years, ever since I am 13 and I am sick of it already. Can I still do lasik operation if my eyes are so sensitive? Is there any cure to it? Thank you so much for your help guys.....

    hello!

I am too around you age (i'm 19, almost 20), and was hoping to get lasik surgery when I was old enough, but that doesn't seem like a smart choice for me anymore, as I'm battling dry eyes. I went to the eye doctor's and he said the surgery will only make your eyes even drier, so I would take extreme precaution and research and see multiple doctors.

I have the same problem as babyee... but mine r too much complicated too.
The problem described by babyee regarding eye closing, seems to be connected with nervous system.
The problem is kind of tough to explain but babyee , u have explained it nicely...im waiting for experts comment posts.
Really need to be a ROCK to take the pain!
