    Welcome,
I am a commuting, international Fa. A few tips that help me are ,
In the winter Hotel rooms heating systems are very drying.
Try filling the tub with water, and steaming up the room with the shower before bed. Adds a little humidity.
I like hylo-comod. eye drops , found in Germany. Not sold in the US.
I also keep a spray can of evian water or some other canned water, and spritz my face and eyes.
For me, hotel detergents , shampoos, and dust mites , all, are allergens, so I pack a dust mite proof pillowcase and cover.
(probably good advice even if you are not allergic)
If you suspect incomplete lid closure, try cutting Glad Press and Seal wrap in strips and " tape" your eyes closed.
Sounds bizarre, but now I cant sleep without it.
There are several threads about it you can look at here, but basically you just put a square on your top lid about half way up, close your eye, and tape to just above your cheek bone. The Press and Seal can be easily adjusted, and it is much gentler than tape sold for the same purpose.

    Hope this helps some,
    Fly safe.
