How Much I Hate you Dry Eyes!!

Hi Everyone,

Thought I'd introduce myself, new to this forum thing. I am from Australia and have been a dry eye sufferer for almost 5 years, I am only 25. This condition isn't really spoken of in Australia and that's why I created a website http://www.myredeyes.com.au/ so I could find people who are going through the same as me.

Whilst undertaking research for my blog I was lucky to discover this forum. I look forward to reading what you guys do to manage this horrid condition, experiences with this condition etc.

Hello! I have been down to Oz! Once to the Perth area and once to see friends in Nerang, Queensland. I hope to return someday!

I am new to the dry eye H E ! ! Sorry to hear that you are having problems!
I underwent cararact surgery in the end of October and beginning of November. Soon after, I get dry eye! I claim the pain rates up there with child birth! Certainly not my idea of fun at all!

This website is so helpful and there are so many great suggestions and ideas. Just having a network of people who understand, it means so very much!

Glad you like Australia! I am also sorry to hear you are having problems. This condition definitely lowers the quality of life but I guess we could be dealing with a lot worse. Haha – pain rates up there with childbirth, I guess it will be a breeze for me whenever I decide to have children!
I am glad you like the website, your feedback is greatly appreciated, feel free to also comment on the site. I hope you are getting better treatment in the US than what I am having here in Australia. These so called ‘eye specialists’ in Australia have no idea what they are talking about when it comes to dry eye.
