My hat's off to those of you who have been living with this long-term. I've been living with it only a year, and it already seems like it's been forever. Anyhow, I have seen 5: an optometrist, 2 ophthalmologists, a corneal specialist, and a neuro-ophthalmologist. The latter is due to damage to eye, lacrimal glands from trigeminal neuralgia surgery. And I am about to see another corneal specialist at a different hospital with an eye clinic, in Baltimore. That's because I'd like another assessment: my former corneal specialist was not willing to discuss and explain what was wrong, and my prognosis, treatment options. I learned most of what I know from my own research, and this site. I'd then ask him specific questions (I didn't know what to ask before coming to this site), and he'd grudgingly respond. He clearly did not appreciate an informed patient with questions.
