    Hello Everyone,
I'm new to this website and was hoping to find some relief to my terrible dry eyes. If you guys could help me out, id be more than appreciative.

I’m a 23 year old male who works as an engineer behind a computer all day. I also do a 3 hour commute everyday which adds to my dry eye problems.

My problems started around 2 years ago where out of the blue, my contacts just stopped going into my eyes. I talked to my eye doctors and they couldn't figure out why. After a lot of online research and talking to a specialist, I started a fish oil regiment along with Restasis and warm eye compress. They seemed to have made a small different but nothing dramatic like I was hoping them to.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

You may need to push for better, more detailed diagnostic information here.

Best remedy I know for computer use with severe dry eye symptoms is moisture chamber glasses. I know programmers who have gone from virtually disabled to funcational again with those things. Check out pages 4-5 of this link (sorry it's a really outdated catalog but the introductory sections are helpful) for a detailed rundown of what they're like and how they help and how to go about choosing the right type.

Also there are a ton of tips in this forum - you may need to hunt around a bit - for how to handle computer work better... ranging from desktop humidifiers to blink reminders to screen lighting control programs and whatnot. All these little things make a difference while you're also pursuing getting better medical info about what's going on and what some next steps might be.
