Hello from a newbie with SJS & PROSE

Hi DEZ,
I'm a 34 year old librarian in Washington, DC. I got Stevens Johnson Syndrome in October 2006 from a sulpha drug and was just fit (last week!) with PROSE lenses. I am seeing the amazing Dr. Michelle Hessen at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Medical Institute in Baltimore, MD.
I have lots of questions about living with PROSE for the long-term but will post in those forums. I'd like to connect with other SJS patients, too.

Hi Sonali,
I was fitted with PROSE by Dr. Hessen 2 months ago and so far all is great. Wear 12-14 hours per day and the relief is incredible. If you have problems inserting that will change - I can get lenses in both eyes first try now most days. Dont know what I would do without them. And yes Dr. Hessen is amazing as is the entire staff.
