Hi ,
I am an mgd sufferer and have been since the age of 17( I am now 19). I have recently been very able to manage my symptoms and it has been controlling my life less and less every month. However , last Wednesday I (stupidly) rushed in to changing methods of contraception after the nurse suggested I switch from the combined pill(estrogen and proestrogen) to the injection (proestrogen only) since then I've been having the worst dry eye symptoms I've ever experienced. Can anyone explain why this has happened is it just a matter of my body getting used to this difference in hormones or does proestrogen have more of a tendency to cause dry eye than estrogen. Any theories or explainations would be hugely appreciated!!
Thank you
